The Lebanese army and authorities must take responsibility for what is happening in their country, since Israel will no longer tolerate shelling of its territory.

According to TASS, this statement was made on Sunday at the weekly meeting of the Israeli Cabinet by the Prime Minister of the Jewish state Naftali Bennett.

“The State of Lebanon and the Lebanese army must take responsibility for what happens on their territory. The State of Israel will no longer allow shelling of its territory”, the Prime Minister’s office said.

On August 6, 19 rockets were fired from Lebanese territory against Israel, three of which fell in Lebanon, ten were intercepted, and six more exploded in uninhabited areas in the north of the Jewish state. Prior to this, the northern regions of Israel came under rocket attacks from Lebanon on 4 August and 20 July.
