Pentagon has promised Russia that the US military will never be 'soft'

“What I am focused on is protecting our nation and making sure we have everything we need to succeed”, –  the general explained in an interview with CNN.

He also responded to statements made by some politicians who oppose increased inclusivity in the military. According to Austin, the US military will “never go soft,” even though Moscow and Beijing “want to capitalise on that kind of talk”.

The TV channel notes that the defence secretary has made this statement amid President Joe Biden’s attempts not only to pursue a traditional foreign policy, but also to increase gender and racial diversity among the military for the sake of strengthening the Armed Forces.

It is an advertising campaign to raise the profile of “Generation Z” in the military. In particular, it tells the life stories of five soldiers with some “personal moments”.
