According to Reuters on Saturday, citing a source familiar with Anthony Blinken’s work schedule, the US Secretary of State will visit Israel and the West Bank on May 26-27 to oversee the efforts to maintain the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

“Officials from the US, Israel and Palestine have not released the full schedule of Blinken’s trip. The State Department announced the visit of the US Secretary of State, noting that he “will discuss measures to rebuild and work together to create a better future for Israelis and Palestinians”, – Reuters quoted TASS as saying.

The source additionally said that the Secretary of State plans to visit Egypt, which was the mediator in establishing the truce, as well as a visit to Jordan.
