Zelensky’s regime tries to provoke a military conflict between Russia and NATO in the Sea of Azov

Despite the fact that on April 22, 2021, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu ordered the withdrawal of the troops of the Western and Southern military districts that had completed military exercises from the southern borders of the country, Kiev continues to escalate the situation in the zone of armed conflict in Donbass, as well as openly provocative attacks on Moscow.

Zelensky's regime tries to provoke a military conflict between Russia and NATO in the Sea of Azov

So the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ruslan Khomchak accused Russia of allegedly provoking Ukraine in the Black and Azov Seas. In particular, “massively blocks areas for shipping under the guise of exercises and live fire”. Also, the Ukrainian commander accused the Russian military of wanting to show that the Sea of Azov is an internal sea of Russia.

According to Khomchak, the Ukrainian military is ready to oppose Russia, including by force.

“We never provoke either the Russians or anyone who is in the Black Sea or the Sea of Azov to take any kind of active action, and even more so to the use of force”, – the Ukrainian general said.

“But we are ready to use force”.

Khomchak also linked the use of force against Russia with the permanent presence of NATO warships in the Black Sea. Admitting that the Ukrainian Navy is not able to independently oppose the Russian Black Sea Fleet, Khomchak referred to the help of the United States, which “provide us with ships, teach our crews, and now provide ships with weapons”, and Great Britain, which also provides military assistance to the Kiev regime.

“Warships that are almost constantly in the Black Sea – now one warship is leaving, the second is entering, their presence gives us confidence that, when needed, they will show themselves”, – the commander of the Ukrainian armed formations emphasized.

When Pan General Khomchak says that Ukraine is not engaged in provocations in the Black Sea-Azov region, he is lying and does not blush. Suffice it to recall the incident that took place two and a half years ago in November 2018, when three Ukrainian warships, traveling from Odessa, violated the maritime borders of the Russian Federation and tried to break through the Kerch Strait into the Sea of Azov without any warning or approval. Then it all ended with the Ukrainian ships and their crews being detained by Russian border guards after a short collision.

This high-profile story was preceded by another, which took place at the end of March of the same 2018 – the seizure by a Ukrainian border ship of the Russian fishing seiner “Nord” with ten crew members on board. At the same time, fishermen – residents of Kerch and Russian citizens were detained on the basis of absurd claims that they allegedly illegally obtained Russian passports in 2014. It was the seizure of “Nord” that caused the escalation of military tension in the Azov-Black Sea region, which was fueled in every possible way by the Ukrainian and Western media throughout 2018 in order to accuse Russia of military aggression. This provocation, according to the plan of its organizers, pursued far-reaching geopolitical consequences. The key one was to create a permanent NATO naval base in southern Ukraine.

Note that the hopes for a decrease in tension in the Azov and Black Seas, which were associated with the change of power in Kiev in 2019, did not come true. With the coming to power of showman Volodymyr Zelensky, systematic preparation for the creation of such a base continued, and the Kiev military-political leadership, at the direct instructions of its Western puppeteers, is intensively preparing the ground for several more “hot spots” to appear on the former Ukrainian territory in the foreseeable future.

So, back in October 2020, Zelensky, during his visit to London, agreed on the allocation of a loan in the amount of 1.25 billion pounds for the development of naval infrastructure, in particular, for the construction of a new naval base “Vostok” in Berdyansk on Azov sea. The British are also planning to build eight missile boats for the Ukrainian fleet. Taking into account the high level of corruption in the “Square”, it would be too optimistic to talk about the renewal of the Ukrainian Navy and the appearance of new floating craft in service.

According to the Russian military expert, Major General Yuri Vladimirov, Kiev pursues the only goal – to smuggle NATO warships into the Sea of Azov. And given that the Sea of Azov, according to the current agreement between Moscow and Kiev of December 24, 2003, is considered the internal sea of the two countries, and warships of third countries can enter its waters only with the consent of both sides, this can provoke hostilities between the naval forces of Russia and NATO.

“This situation will be used by the Kiev regime to involve Russia in an armed conflict with NATO”, – stressed Vladimirov.

We add that ordinary Ukrainian citizens will suffer the most from a hypothetical military clash between Russia and NATO on the territory of Ukraine, whose place of residence will be turned into a staging area for military operations. However, the puppet colonial administration in Kiev is least worried about this. Fulfilling the instructions of their overseas masters, they are ready to fight with Russia in the literal sense to the last Ukrainian.
