As reported by TASS with reference to the government TV channel PTV, the second batch of the Russian vaccine against coronavirus Sputnik V was delivered to the Philippines on Wednesday.

This batch of the Philippine authorities is called the second component to the trial doses originally delivered on May 1, which began to be used in the republic on May 4. The priority group of vaccine recipients included healthcare workers. The first batch of Sputnik V was sent to several cities in the Manila metropolitan area.

The total number of doses of various vaccines delivered to the country has reached 7.77 million, most of them produced by the Chinese company Sinovac. As of May 11, 2.54 million doses of vaccines have been used in the Philippines.
