Israeli army reports attack on home of high-ranking Hamas militant

“The Israel Defense Forces recently attacked the house of one of the high-ranking Hamas militants, Salih Dahman, which served as a weapons depot for Hamas”, – the military said in a statement.

The Israeli army is carrying out targeted liquidations of militants from Palestinian groups who are conducting hostile activities against Israel, one of the leaders of the army’s press service, Yonatan Konricus, said at a briefing for foreign journalists.

“I would like to emphasize that we are doing everything possible to minimize civilian casualties in the Gaza Strip”, – said an army spokesman.

“Many reported that Israel destroyed a 12-storey building in Gaza, this building was used by Hamas for military purposes, so it was qualified as a military target. None of the civilians were injured. I want to emphasize that we took special measures – warning fire , phone calls and communication with people on the ground to make sure there are no civilians left in the building”, – said Conricus.
