Pentagon lashes out with accusations against Russia over situation in Syria

“The coalition reported that while Russian forces generally adhere to agreements to avoid conflict with coalition forces, they continued to commit violations that did not endanger the coalition forces”, – the Pentagon’s report on Operation Unwavering Determination said.

The document notes that Syrian troops and Russia, the Turkish-backed opposition attacked IS*, but at the same time interfered with the coalition and opposition of Syria. In particular, the report says that these countries have made attempts to restrict the movement of coalition forces.

The Pentagon also added that IS* is launching almost daily attacks on Russia and Syrian troops in response to attacks on militant positions in the Syrian desert and in the middle reaches of the Euphrates.

The Syrian conflict has been going on since 2011. President Bashar al-Assad has repeatedly stated that US forces, located mainly in oil-rich areas, are in the republic for no reason.

Earlier, it was reported that Assad learned the names of contenders in the presidential elections in Syria.
