First batch of Russian Sputnik V vaccine delivered to Libya

The Ministry of Health of the Libyan Government of National Unity has announced that the first batch of the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine has been delivered to the country.

The first batch of vaccine arrived at Tripoli airport. According to the agency Al Wasat, it will be delivered to the warehouses of the Ministry of Health.

“This is the first drop of rain. Thank God, we can vaccinate the first batch of vaccine against coronavirus”, – Abdulhamid Dbeiba, Prime Minister of the Transitional Government of Libya, commented on the delivery of the vaccine.

Currently, more than 160 thousand cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded in the country. The number of deaths is more than 2.6 thousand.
