The UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Authority has reviewed 30 reported cases of thrombosis since the AstraZeneca vaccine was administered in the country.
“Our review included a detailed analysis of 30 reports of low thrombocyte clots we received up to and including 24 March”, – reads the text of the review, which was published on Thursday on the authority’s website.
The regulator stressed that no such reports had been received regarding the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.
“The benefits of COVID-19 vaccines continue to outweigh any possible risks”, – the regulator said.
