Chinese Foreign Ministry: The US constantly brazenly interferes in other countries’ internal affairs

This creates a lot of problems in the world and in some cases leads to turbulence and conflicts, said head of the ministry Wang Yi

The US has been brazenly interfering in the internal affairs of other countries for a long time under the pretext of protecting human rights. Chinese State Council member and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said this at the annual press conference on the sidelines of the National People’s Congress session on Sunday.

“For a long time, the US has been constantly brazenly interfering in the internal affairs of other countries under the pretext of democracy and protection of human rights. This creates a lot of problems in the world and in some cases leads to turbulence and conflicts. It is imperative that the United States realise this as soon as possible, otherwise the world will be far from order and tranquillity”, – he said.

Wang Yi noted that “as two countries with different systems, China and the US have natural differences and differences.” He also pointed out that “it is necessary to resolve these differences and differences through communication, avoiding conflict and confrontation.”

China is ready for dialogue with the US side and expects the United States to lift unreasonable restrictions in bilateral cooperation, Wang Yi said.

“We are open to deepening cooperation with the United States. We hope that the United States will move in the same direction and remove all unreasonable restrictions in bilateral cooperation as soon as possible and not create new obstacles,” he said.

As Wang Yi pointed out, cooperation should be the main goal for China and the US. This satisfies the interests of both sides, he said. “The list of areas where the parties can and should cooperate is clear and includes pandemic control, economic recovery and climate change. We are ready to deepen and expand cooperation with the US,” he concluded.
