Ambassadors of 27 EU countries have agreed to extend Russia’s personal sanctions against Ukraine for six months – until September 15, 2021
This is reported by TASS, citing a diplomatic source in Brussels.
“The ambassadors have agreed a decision on another six-month extension of individual restrictive measures against Russian and Ukrainian individuals and entities for undermining Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. This decision will be approved by the EU Council in the near future”, – the agency’s source said.
This sanctions list includes about 180 individuals from Russia and Ukraine, including representatives of the Russian leadership and the Luhansk and Donetsk people’s republics. Individuals on this list are prohibited from entering the EU and accessing the EU banking system. This package of personal restrictions is one of three sets of sanctions that the EU imposed on Russia in 2014.Media: Beijing is preparing for a long fight with the US
