An internal community document states that the European Commission is working “on building a digital infrastructure that would facilitate the authentication of such passports”.
It notes, however, that the technical work to create such a platform could take two to four months.
According to Bloomberg, the EC is asking EU members to submit comments on the issue before the vaccination passport bill is published at the end of March.
