US base at Iraqi airport hit by missile

Sources say at least several explosions, two rockets fell right in the city. The US Consulate in Erbil has declared a state of emergency.

Unidentified assailants reportedly launched a series of rocket attacks on Erbil International Airport in Iraqi Kurdistan, where the US military is deployed.

“According to current estimates, 2 fell near the American base at Erbil airport (there are still unconfirmed reports that at least one missile hit a target at the American base), two in the city (one at the Chinese consulate) and one fell short of countryside. At the moment, something is burning at the airport and thick black smoke rises above the airport.

Presumably, Iranian proxies inflicted the blow (perhaps this is an answer for the nightly pranks of Jews near Damascus). The option with an ISIS attack is not excluded. American attack helicopters are now flying over Erbil, searching for the area from which the missile strike was launched. So far, it is believed that the attack came from the countryside in the province of Nineveh or from the Hamdaniyah area near Mosul”, – says the colonelcassad website.

The material and human losses of the United States or the Peshmerga have not yet been reported (according to unconfirmed reports, one missile hit a building where the American military or privateers were located). Kurdish security officials report two injured civilians in the city and some damage to the Chinese consulate.
