German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that by the end of the third quarter, the entire adult population of the country will be vaccinated.
“We promise that by the end of the third quarter, that is, by the end of the summer, we will offer every citizen to be vaccinated, and we will keep our promise”, – Merkel said.
She also noted that vaccination will take place even if vaccines from Johnson & Johnson and CureVac, which have not yet been approved by the EU regulator, do not appear on the EU market.
Earlier, the German Chancellor announced her readiness to support the German regulator in the approval procedure for the Russian Sputnik V vaccine at the European Medical Agency (EMA).
The Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine was developed by the Gamaleya Research Center for Electrochemistry and Technology. The drug is based on a well-studied adenoviral platform, which ensures the safety and high efficacy of the vaccine.Ukraine and NATO: Kuleba is disappointed with the status of a “special partner”
