French Ambassador to Kiev announced Macron’s visit to Ukraine

French President Emmanuel Macron may come to Ukraine before the end of the first half of the year. This was stated by the French Ambassador to Ukraine Etienne de Ponsen.

“At the moment we do not have a date due to the pandemic. President Macron is not currently traveling. He has not left France since mid-December. His last visit was to Brussels, not bilateral and not very far away. I want to be very careful, but I expect this visit to happen by the end of the first half of the year”, – de Ponsen said.

The last French president to officially visit Ukraine was Jacques Chirac in 1998.
