Poroshenko’s lawyer: two days after U.S. inauguration, two more criminal proceedings against Biden and Poroshenko opened in Ukraine

Igor Golovan complained about the hypocrisy of Zelensky and his team.

According to the Observer, during the briefing, Poroshenko’s lawyer Igor Golovan said that two days after the inauguration of the US President, with the knowledge of the Office of President Volodymyr Zelensky, new production facilities were opened for the fifth President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and the newly elected US President Joe Biden.

“On January 20 of this year, Ukrainians, together with the whole world, watched the inauguration of the new President of the United States, Biden. We looked with great hopes at deepening cooperation between our country and our strategic ally. Since during the tenure of the fifth president of Ukraine Poroshenko and then Vice-President Biden, this cooperation was very positive and useful for us”, – Golovan recalled.

“With a certain joy – as we now see, hypocritical, they looked at this inauguration in the Office of the incumbent President Zelensky… Why do I say hypocritical? Because already on January 22, 2 days after the inauguration of the President of the United States, two new criminal proceedings were registered concerning the alleged interference in the activities of the former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Shokin by the fifth President of Ukraine Poroshenko and the current President of the United States Biden”.

As you know, on May 20, 2020, during a press conference, President Zelensky publicly commented on the so-called “Derkach tapes”, stating that Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova had already opened production. He noted that law enforcement agencies must respond to information from these audio recordings.

Curiously, on January 20, the President’s Office reported that Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Andriy Yermak watched the broadcast of Joe Biden’s inauguration together with the US Charge d’Affaires in Ukraine Christina Queen.
