In excerpts of the interview published on Sunday, Saathoff commented on relations with Russia. He believes there is no need to impose new sanctions against Russia because “it doesn’t solve the problems.” In addition, he urged that the fate of Nord Stream 2 should not be linked to Navalny’s arrest: “The two topics are not related to each other.
