Fox News: US Senate approves Haynes as Director of National Intelligence

According to the American channel Fox News, the US Senate has confirmed Avril Haynes as the new director of national intelligence.

84 senators voted for Haynes’s candidacy, 10 were against, and the rest abstained. It is noted that Haynes became the first female head of the US intelligence community.

Avril Haynes will oversee the activities of 18 special services, including the CIA, NSA, FBI. She was previously Barack Obama’s national security adviser and deputy director of the CIA.
