Last year, Russia sold $13 billion worth of military-industrial complex products

And this despite the fact that due to the coronavirus, Russia has postponed the supply of weapons to a number of foreign customers, and has suspended the admission of foreign military specialists to study.

According to Interfax, on Friday the head of Rostec, Sergei Chemezov, said that the volume of supplies of Russian military products abroad in 2020 amounted to about $13 billion.

“As for the state defense order. To date, we have fully complied with the weapons included in the presidential list. As for the military-technical cooperation, we are fulfilling the plan that was approved by the president, and the volume will be somewhere in the region of 13 billion, approximately – the same as last year”, – he said at a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Earlier in March, Dmitry Shugaev, director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of Russia, said that the portfolio of Russian export orders for weapons and military equipment is $55 billion, it is stable, despite Western sanctions.
