As reported by TASS, the Kyodo agency, citing sources, reports that the authorities of Chiba, Saitama and Kanagawa prefectures, which border Tokyo, intend to call on the Japanese government to introduce an emergency situation (ES) due to the spread of the new coronavirus in the country.

On December 31, Nishimura announced on his Twitter that the Japanese government could declare an emergency if the spread of infection in the country continues.
