UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres called for the peaceful holding of presidential and parliamentary elections in the Central African Republic on December 27. This was announced by the official representative of the Secretary General Stephane Dujarrick.
“As CAR citizens prepare to take part in the December 27 general elections, the Secretary General calls on all stakeholders to ensure that the vote is peaceful, open to all and credible. To this end, he asks all participants to refrain from any action that could threaten human lives and undermine the electoral process and national stability, including the use of violence, incitement to hatred and incitement to violence”, – said Dujarrik.
