As stated in the statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry on Saturday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed the issues of the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement and the implementation of the trilateral statement on Nagorno-Karabakh with Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan by telephone.

“The parties continued to exchange views on current issues of the bilateral, regional and international agenda. Particular attention was paid to the discussion of the Nagorno-Karabakh problem in the context of the implementation of the provisions of the statement signed on November 9, 2020 by the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia”, – the text quoted by TASS reads.

Let us recall that after the introduction of Russian peacekeepers, the situation in Karabakh stabilized. Tens of thousands of Karabakh residents who left their homes during the hostilities returned with the help of a peacekeeping contingent.
