The head of the White House explained his decision by the fact that the bill is “a gift for China and Russia”.

In practice, Trump was not satisfied with the absence in the document of a clause that canceled the legal responsibility of social networks for information posted there. He also opposed the renaming of military bases, which bear the names of the leaders of the Confederation, prescribed in the bill, and the slowdown in the withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan, South Korea and Germany.
