The draft bill was previously approved by both houses of the US Congress
According to Interfax, US President Donald Trump has signed a two-day budget to avoid a midnight Friday local time cutoff of funding for federal agencies (“shutdown”)
“This gives Democratic and Republican lawmakers an opportunity to continue negotiations on a $900 billion pandemic economic support bill, as well as a $1.4 trillion government spending bill through September 2021”, – the statement said.
A week ago, Trump had already signed an interim budget approved by Congress that extended funding for the US government until 18 December.
