These include representatives from the US Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Department of Homeland Security and the National Security Agency. They hold consultations every day”, – the agency said.

According to the authors of the article, presumably, as a result of cyber attacks, hackers were unable to gain access to any confidential information. Currently, a group of experts who are involved in ensuring cybersecurity is conducting an investigation with the aim of “establishing the extent of unauthorized entry into computer systems”.

Earlier, Reuters reported that a group of hackers, allegedly working for Russia, gained access to the computer systems of the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS). According to The Washington Post, the hackers also managed to gain access to data from the US Department of State, Treasury and the National Telecommunications and Information Administration.

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov denied all US accusations of Russia’s involvement in the hacker attacks and called on the authorities to stop “blaming the Russians unfounded”. He also recalled that Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested that the American authorities conclude an agreement in the field of information security, which would allow cooperation and jointly counter cybercrime and cyber espionage.
