Trump’s headquarters filed a claim for annulment of the election results in Georgia

The suit is accompanied by affidavits of dozens of residents of the state who have witnessed the inability to process and secure the ballots and to authenticate signatures on absentee certificates.

On Friday, Republican Donald Trump filed a lawsuit in the State Court of Georgia to invalidate the election results on 3 November.

“The campaign sued the State Court of Georgia to invalidate the election results on November 3. U.S. President Donald Trump and the Trump Campaign were joined in the lawsuit by the head of the Georgia Republican Party Committee David Shafer”, –  said in a statement circulated by the headquarters. – The lawsuit is accompanied by affidavits from dozens of Georgia’s residents, who have been notified of the consequences of perjury and punishment for it. They [during the election] witnessed a failure to process and secure the ballots, a failure to authenticate signatures on absentee certificates.

On 20 November, Georgian authorities approved the results of a vote in which Democrat Joseph Biden won the state presidential election. Trump won 49.25% of the vote (2,461,837) and Biden 49.51% (2,474,507). Victory in Georgia gives the candidate 16 votes.

Trump’s headquarters requested a new recount in Georgia on 21 November. The representatives of the Republican believe that there were falsifications in the voting, which were not taken into account when the ballots were processed again.
