Iran fears that Trump will still have time to start a war

According to The Washington Post, President Trump is ready to order a powerful response to Iran if the attacks attributed to Tehran kill Americans

Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Qadhimi is under pressure from US officials to increase his government’s repressive measures against Iranian-backed militia in Iraq, whose missiles have repeatedly hit diplomatic and military targets used by Americans over the past year, Card House Tg Channel reports.

President Trump is prepared to order a powerful response to Iran if the attacks attributed to Tehran result in American deaths.

“I think the Iraqi government just wants to close its eyes so that these two months will go by unnoticed. The potential for escalation is high”, –  Sajjad Jiyad, an Iraqi expert and member of the Century Foundation, told The Washington Post.

Tensions in the region rose sharply on Friday after a famous Iranian nuclear scientist, Mohsen Fahrizade, was killed in Tehran. Iranian officials have accused Israel and the US of attacking, and now many fear Iran’s retaliatory strike against Western targets. The Israeli army is already working on war scenarios in the event of an attack by Tehran.
