US Senate calls Russia and China “a threat”

Washington believes that Russia and China are “a threat to submarine cables”. This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, referring to the report of the US Senate Committee on transatlantic cooperation.

The document states that Chinese companies are becoming a strong competitor in the submarine communications cable market, which, according to the US Senate, “poses a serious security threat”.

The authors of the report noted that “the Russian submarine fleet in the event of a conflict will be able to damage communications or connect to them for their own purposes”.

Earlier, President-elect of the United States according to leading American media, Joe Biden argued that “Russia is the main threat to the country”.
