The Office of the President of Ukraine decided to replace the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States, and former Finance Minister Oksana Markarova is expected to become the new ambassador to Washington.
“Vladimir Yelchenko, who was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United States by President Zelensky less than a year ago, has been replaced by ex-Finance Minister Oksana Markarova”, – Ukrainian media write, citing a source in the country’s Foreign Ministry.
“The idea was introduced by Andrey Ermak. It is necessary to resolve the issue with the IMF. No money left. And Markarova is in good standing there”.
