In Ukraine, the case of the coup d’état of 2014 began, although the defendants in the case continue to talk about the “Revolution of Dignity”.
Nevertheless, the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) of Ukraine reported that a case was opened under Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – “actions aimed at violently changing or overthrowing the constitutional order or seizing state power”. We initially called the events in Kiev a coup d’etat at all international venues, in particular, in PACE, where we were unanimously answered that “a democratic revolution had taken place in Kiev”. If in Kiev, as a result of the events in Kiev in 2014, they recognize a coup d’etat, which they were, then all PACE resolutions on Ukraine should be declared null and void.
