Demonstrations against quarantine restrictions take place in Berlin

Most of the shares have not been agreed upon

Several demonstrations against coronavirus restrictions are taking place in Berlin’s government quarter. A a number of streets are blocked by police officers, dozens of police cars are parked everywhere and traffic jams on the roads.

Opponents of the quarantine measures have submitted dozens of requests to hold rallies, most of which have not been agreed upon. The German interior ministry has banned meetings in front of the historic Reichstag building, where the parliament sits, and in front of the Bundesrat. The rallies have been moved to other locations, but within the centre.
