Aliyev said Azerbaijan does not want a third country to interfere in the Karabakh conflict

The President of Azerbaijan replied to the question whether Baku expects help from Turkey.

Baku does not want a third country to interfere in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. This was stated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in an interview published on Saturday on the German TV channel ARD, answering the question whether Baku expects help from Turkey.

“We do not expect a third country to intervene. Nor do we see any possibility for any country to intervene, as the countries around us are our partners and friends”, –  he said. Aliyev says that Armenia, according to the Azerbaijani side, “wants them to participate in the battles, but I am sure that this will not happen”, –  he said.

“This is a fight between us and Armenia, and everyone else must abstain from it”, – added the President of Azerbaijan.
