In the British port city of Dover, you can find a rubble-strewn construction site with several shipping containers. In them, the police detain the arriving illegal immigrants.
As reported by The Guardian, referring to the report of Her Majesty’s inspection, the security forces lock hundreds of migrants in cramped and cold containers, as soon as they find themselves on land after crossing the English Channel in small boats. They are taken straight from the coast and sent to a makeshift prison with no dry clothes or essentials.
The Dover Prison is temporary. From here, illegal immigrants are sent to other institutions. Nevertheless, illegal immigrants spend from several hours to several days in metal containers.
According to an analysis by PA Media, over 7.4 thousand illegal immigrants have arrived in the UK this year, which is almost four times more than last year. Chief Inspector of Prisons Peter Clark, in turn, said that these figures do not justify the conditions of detention of migrants.

This was readily acknowledged by the employees of the local administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs”.
