The leader of the parliamentary faction Democratic League of Kosovo, Arben Gashi, said that the disconnection from the Russian gas pipeline is a strategic task for the unrecognized country.
According to Gashi, after the signing of the Washington Agreement, Kosovo allegedly becomes the center of Southeast Europe.

“If we are talking about an agreement in Washington, we need to consider three things. Firstly, Kosovo is becoming the center of Southeast Europe in terms of road and rail infrastructure as well as gas pipelines. A gas pipeline will pass through Kosovo to supply Serbia and Kosovo. It connects Southeast Europe with the regions of Thessaloniki (Greece) and Durres (Albania), where Kosovo will be the main hub, and the highway connecting the two ports passes through Kosovo”, – he said.
