The United States has blacklisted two Chinese nationals, one Australian, as well as six Chinese and one Australian organisation for Iran. This was stated in a statement by the US Treasury Department
Restrictions have been imposed on Chinese citizens and organisations for supporting the Iranian transport company IRISL (Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines), which is supposedly assisting the Iranian Armed Forces.
As the Ministry of Finance explained, Australian resident Ahmed Lookman Talib and his company were blacklisted along with others for “providing financial and material support to terrorism”.
