The Black Sea Fleet tracked the movements of the destroyer.

The American destroyer Roosevelt began the transition from the Black Sea to the Mediterranean after completing joint manoeuvres with the Ukrainian Navy. This was stated in the message of the Sixth Fleet of the US Navy distributed on Friday.

“The USS Roosevelt leaves the Black Sea and sails for the Mediterranean after completing a successful patrol with our allies and partners in the region. The U.S. Navy regularly conducts patrols and exercises in the Black Sea”, –  it said.

The U.S. Navy’s Sixth Fleet reported September 15 that the Roosevelt destroyer with guided missile weapons is heading into the Black Sea “to conduct maritime security operations with NATO allies and partners in the region. It is the sixth U.S. ship to enter the Black Sea since early 2020. The Black Sea Fleet has been tracking the movements of the American destroyer.
