Presidential elections are approaching in Moldova.
According to the tg-channel “Choice of Moldova”, Maia Sandu is officially registered as a candidate for the presidency of the Republic of Moldova.
“The CEC decides to register Maia Sanda as a candidate from the Action and Solidarity party for the upcoming presidential elections on November 1, 2020, the electoral symbol of the candidate, as well as a representative with an advisory vote in the CEC and the person in charge of financing (treasurer) of the respective electoral contestant “, – announced the chairman of the CEC
As you know, the current head of the republic, Igor Dodon, will become Sandu’s main opponent in the elections.
Another potential presidential candidate may be Dorin Chirtoaca, Chairman of the Liberal Party, former mayor of Chisinau and a nominee from the Unurea electoral bloc, who collected the required number of signatures to register as a candidate for the presidency of Moldova.

“Within 7 days, the CEC commission will check the signatures and make a decision on the registration of Dorin Chirtoaca,” reports Choice of Moldova.
