Saakashvili urged the Ukrainian authorities not to blindly follow European directives

The policy believes that copying the laws of European countries will only make the situation worse.

The Ukrainian authorities should not blindly comply with all the requirements of European institutions, as some of them are questionable and only harm the country. This opinion was expressed by Mikhail Saakashvili, head of the National Reform Committee, on the Ukraina-24 TV channel.

“The Ukrainian authorities cannot blindly follow European directives, sometimes idiotic”, –  he said. According to the politician, copying the laws of European countries will only make the situation worse.

If Ukraine, he specified, adopts the laws of Austria or Sweden, the Ukrainians will not live better, but rather the opposite. Saakashvili expressed regret that not all Ukrainian politicians understand this.
