Sarah Goldstone told that she was tested in Massachusetts, but now her insurance company “refuses to share the cost of visits related to testing for COVID-19”. Kelly Daisley decided to take the test after seeing an advertisement at a bus stop near her house in New York City. Some time later, she received a $2,718 bill.
“I saw so many commercials that said the test was everywhere, it’s free, you don’t need insurance”, – said 47-year-old Kelly Daisley.
Extensive testing has been taking place in the U.S. for several months now. During this time, a huge number of citizens have faced “holes” in new government programs adopted in a hurry against the backdrop of the pandemic.
To date, the U.S. has conducted about 77 million tests.
