President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko arrived at the rally, where thousands of Belarusians gathered to express their support and oppose the collapse of the country.
The head of state came to Independence Square and addressed the people.
Lukashenko thanked all those present for their support:
“Thank you, you have never let me down”.
He stressed that he would not allow the country to be seized and turned into a “latrine for Europe”.
