Fifty representatives of the LGBT community were detained by the police in the Polish capital after demonstrations in the city center.
This was announced on Saturday, August 8, by the press service of the Warsaw Police Department.
The protesters reportedly attacked law enforcement officers, after which 48 people were detained.
“Procedural measures will be carried out with the participation of lawyers. They will be carried out in connection with the insult of a police officer, as well as damage to a police car. The arrests were reported to the prosecutor’s office, ” the message says.
The protests began after the court ordered the arrest of the LGBT activist for 2 months.
