“Pose a biological threat” – Hungarian Prime Minister intends to block the flow of migrants

In conditions where it is impossible to control all migrants arriving in the country, each of them should be considered a potential carrier of the coronavirus.

This statement on Friday, August 8, was made by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

He stressed that the flow of migrants should be suspended during the pandemic, as refugees arriving in the country may be infected.

“All illegal migrants who want to enter the country uncontrollably not only violate Hungarian laws, but also pose a biological threat. This phrase is serious, and I pronounce it carefully”, – said the head of government.

“It may seem unfair, but on the other hand, we have to think about self-defense, Hungarians can become victims”.

To date, there have been 4,600 COVID-19 infections and 602 deaths in Hungary.
