The Afghan authorities released 50 more militants of the radical Taliban from prison. This was reported by the TOLO News TV channel, citing a source in the country’s National Security Council.
Earlier, the Taliban representative in Qatar, Suheil Shaheen, said that the Taliban are ready to release all the remaining Afghan prisoners before the evening of Eid al-Adha and, at the end of the holiday, begin inter-Afghan negotiations if the exchange of prisoners is completed.
