Trump told how he organized a cyber attack against Russia

The head of the White House said this in an interview with The Washington Post.

“That’s right”, – Trump said, answering a question about whether he had given instructions for a cyber attack.

The incident occurred back in 2018, the Russian Internet Research Agency was attacked. According to the Washington Post, it was this organization that allegedly interfered in the 2016 presidential election, as well as in the midterm congressional elections in 2018.

Trump, in turn, accused his predecessor Barack Obama of inaction, as he counted on the victory of Hillary Clinton. Trump himself ordered a cyber attack based on “intelligence data”.

As News Front previously reported, after Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election, the US Democrats launched a campaign to discredit the newly elected head of the White House. He was accused of conspiring with Moscow, and Russia itself was accused of interfering in the elections. The scandal is called “RussiaGate”. It is noteworthy that the special prosecutor Robert Muller, who was engaged in the investigation, did not find evidence of Russian interference.
