The Russian Embassy in Minsk posted a comment by Russian Ambassador to the Republic of Belarus Dmitry Mezentsev, who expressed confidence that Minsk and Moscow would be able to jointly confront external threats after the pandemic.

“When the coronavirus retreats, major powers, world leaders will make new attempts to ensure their dominance, pressure on world markets. And it will be possible to respond to the predicted pressure of the leading countries on small countries, middle-class countries only by presenting a much deeper system of allied relations”, – Mezentsev said.

According to the diplomat, the importance of the EAEU and the Union State will only grow. And stronger will be the one who knows how to interact with a partner, taking into account both his and his interests and predicts the future.

“And in this regard, the relations that characterize our two countries – a unique shared history, willingness to interact without kefir, meat, any kind of war – this is the foundation that can be strengthened and will work in favor of millions of citizens of the two countries after COVID- 19”, – the ambassador emphasized.
