The United States continues to do work on racist mistakes. There is no measure in this matter.

One of the largest universities in the US began to clear its history of racism

So, Princeton University removed the names of the 28th US President Woodrow Wilson from the names of the faculty and college.

The reason for this decision was the racist views of the politician and his support for the policy of segregation.

“We took this extraordinary step because we believe that Wilson’s racist views and policies make his name inappropriate for a school whose scholars, students and graduates should be firmly committed to combating the problem of racism in all its forms,” the university said in a statement.

At the same time, Wilson’s merits were recognized there. But they do not exceed his shortcomings and the university decided that he was not worthy to be an example for students.
