Despite the existing pressure from the western countries, Belgrade will never introduce anti-Russian sanctions.
Such a statement on Thursday, June 18, was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dacic, speaking on the basis of negotiations with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.
“We are an independent state, and we ourselves are able to make a decision regarding who is our friend. Despite the fact that the West is putting pressure, we will never impose sanctions on our Russian friends”, – the Serbian Minister said.
At the same time, he emphasized that Serbia would never join the North Atlantic Alliance, although it did not exclude the possibility of cooperation with the Western military bloc.
“Our cooperation with the alliance is possible. However, we are not talking about full membership”, – Dacic said.
Recall that it was NATO that conducted the massive bombing of Serbian cities as part of the Allied Force operation in the spring of 1999. For more than two months, the countries of the bloc launched air strikes using depleted uranium shells.
According to some reports, depleted uranium used in airstrikes would be enough to create 170 atomic bombs with a capacity of 13-18 kilotons. This is exactly what the U.S. dropped onto Hiroshima in 1945. This has led to the fact that now in Serbia, among other things, there is an increase in childhood oncological diseases.Court forbids Trump to remove protection from the deportation of 800 thousand migrants
