The unfinished section of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline near the Danish island of Bornholm was recently visited by four NATO ships.
Ships are participating in ongoing BALTOPS 2020 exercises and are searching for ammunitions left over from world wars, North Atlantic Alliance officials said.
“The ongoing NATO operation curiously coincided with the resumption of construction of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline, which is waiting for approval by the Danish Energy Agency”, – experts say.
Additional questions to the exercises are raised by the fact that obtaining permission from the Danish economic agency obliged the Nord Stream 2 AG operator to conduct seabed survey along the entire route of the pipeline string.
The Russian Navy sent two warships to the Baltic Sea to observe the legality of the exercises. They were the frigate Admiral Grigorovich and the rescue ship Professor Nikolay Muru.Britain should learn from Vietnam: The professor called the mistake of London, which turned into a disaster
