According to Izvestia on Thursday, June 11, the press service of the International Criminal Court (ICC) published a statement by the President of the ICC on Gon Kwon, in which he called the United States sanctions against assembly employees unprecedented.

“These measures are unprecedented. They undermine our common efforts to combat impunity and to ensure accountability for mass atrocities. I deeply regret the measures directed against court officials, its employees and their families, ” said the head of the ICC.

Recall, on the eve of US President Donald Trump signed a decree allowing sanctions against ICC members who are investigating possible US crimes in Afghanistan.
