EU expects extension of “Crimean sanctions” on Wednesday

According to one of Radio Liberty’s reporters, EU Permanent Representatives are planning on June 10 to decide on extending Crimean sanctions against Russia for another year.

“EU ambassadors will give a green light on Wednesday to extend the EU’s ban on investing in Crimea for another year,” wrote Ricard Jozvyak.

Recall that EU sanctions provide for a ban on the import into the EU of goods from Crimea and Sevastopol; investments in Crimea or Sevastopol; travel services in Crimea and Sevastopol, in particular, European cruise liners cannot call at Crimean ports; export of certain goods and technologies to the Crimea, in particular, in the field of transport, telecommunications and energy.
